GCr15 steel is a kind of high carbon chromium bearing steel with low alloy content and excellent performance. It is most widely used in various industries. After quenching and tempering, it has high hardness, uniformity, good wear resistance and high contact fatigue performance. After spheroidizing annealing, although it has good workability, it is sensitive to the formation of white spots.
Mainly used to manufacture steel balls, rollers and bushings on drive shafts of internal combustion engines, electric locomotives, machine tools, tractors, rolling mills, drilling rigs, railway vehicles and mining machinery.

Such as inspection of raw materials → Cold heading process → Flashing process → heat treatment → hard grinding → lapping → eddy current tested by AVIKO → Cleaning → appearance inspection → Cleaning and Oil → Re-inspection → packaging.
After precision cleaning, oiling and before packing the sample balls, they should be sent to the final inspection to check the surface roughness, roundness, waviness, batch variation and hardness according to the prescribed control plan and inspection procedures. After all requirements are met, an inspection report will be prepared for the customer.
We mainly produce chrome steel with sizes ranging from 7.9375mm to 82.55mm. The main material is high chromium GCR15 or GCR15SiMn.
Most importantly, we can customize products to meet the various needs of customers.
Solid Chrome Steel Balls
Modern furnaces with precisely controlled atmospheres and temperatures are used for heat treating to assure uniform hardness and proper microstructure for each steel ball.
Ball hardness is controlled within the 60-63 HRC range as measured on parallel flat surfaces.
Bearing balls are used in automotive applications, for semi-precision bearings, and in commercial applications.
